Introduction & Company Profile Nepal, as you know is a developing land locked Himalayan kingdom with India to the east, south and west and the people republic of the China to the north. Its area is 147.181 sq. km. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal. It is locked in a valley 4500fit above sea level. Medicinal and Aromatic plants are in the important natural resource of Nepal, which are famous for its medicinal values. It has been traded for long time. Ayurvedic drugs are made directly from the medicinal herbs. Good prospects exits for the establishment of a few industries producing formulation drugs. The best area for immediate investment are in the production of the major high volume product line such as for anti Bacteria, Analgesics, Vitamins, Anti Malaria, Anti- Pyretic, Anti Biotic, Anti Amoebic and Authelmintic drugs. Apart from herbs Nepal is very rich with high hydropower potentiality there is estimated about 44,000 MW technically feasible hydropower generation in the country. Nepal has so far generation only 5.95%(262 MW).Only 15% of the total population has been benefited from the electric light. Nepal lake technology and capital for the investment in small hydropower projects. The mineral resources that could be commercially exploited have been identified as limestone, dolomite, talc, silica sands, clay, iron ore, lead-zinc, petroleum and natural gas etc. Mineral exploration and exploitation in some of the areas identified above offer promising prospect for investment. |
