India won England with a great margin in the 1st ODI

The first one day international between India and England was held on 14th of November. The match was played at Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Ground, Rajkot, India. India won the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia as 2 – 0. Everyone thought this England tour of India will have a strong competition. But India delivered an astonishing performance in the first one day match. England won the toss and elected to field first. Indian openers hit the ball strongly and added a good score to the board. Sehwag and Gambhir scored half centuries with a good strike rate. Then Yuvraj Singh came who contributed highly with his bat. He scored 138 runs and also he was not out till the end of 50 overs. England had many surprises from the Indian bowlers. Zaheer Khan and Munaf Patel took out the openers. Kevin Peterson alone played well and he made 63 runs with 7 fours and 2 sixes. Finally India won the match by 158 runs and Yuvraj Singh was declared as the Player of the Match.

Brazil vs Italy Friendly Match at Emirates Stadium

On February 10th 2009 there is going to be a much anticipated match between Brazil and Italy. The venue is the Emirates Stadium which is the home ground of Arsenal Football Club. The time of kick off is 7.45PM. The Brazil national team and Italy national team is going to meet on that Tuesday. This match has created more expectations among the football fans. This match has many key players for both their countries. They are Ronaldinho, Kaka, Pato, Julio Cesar, Dani Alves from Brazil and Buffon, Del Piero, Pirlo, Gattuso from Italy. All these players mentioned are in a great form now. Last time they met before many years. Arsenal still alive in the premier league battle: Part - 2

ars vs manu1Rooney kicked few easy balls out of the pitch. ManU’s defence was very much tight in this match. MUFC’s center back Vidic played very well. If this defence was not there in the game, then Arsenal might scored many goals. Christiano Ronaldo made few attempt to the goal post but those weren’t helpful. Berbatov was very much lazy as usual. He refuses to run in the match. Almunia was injured in the middle of the game. So Fabianski was brought in as substitute for Almunia. Carrick kiked Almunia’s face when he tried to kick the ball. Booking was the consequence for Carrick’s action. Gunners also missed many chances badly. Manchester United’s super substitute De Silva scored in the ending of the match. He is a Brazilian defender with great talents. In the injury time they were given six minutes time. ManU tried their level best to equalize but there was no hope. Nasri was the player of the match.

Arsenal still alive in the premier league battle: Part - 1

ars vs manu2Yesterday two great teams of English premier league met each another. They were Arsenal and Manchester United. The venue of the clash was Emirates Stadium. Arsenal had only a few star players in yesterdays match. Almunia, Fabregas, Nasri, Walcott were those individuals. But Manchester United had almost all star players of their team such as Christiano Ronaldo, Rooney, Berbatov, Ferdinand, Carrick, Neville, Vidic, Anderson, Van der sar. So all guessed the match will be one sided game. The predictions told that Manchester United have the maximum probability to win the match. But the scenario on the matchday was completely contradictory. Arsenal had a good possession with the ball from the beginning of the game itself. Arsenal’s young player Narsi hit the target by his excellent shot and fetched the first goal for Arsenal. The score till the first half was 1 – 0. In few minutes after the second half started Nasri scored a stunning goal which was assisted by Fabregas. Arsenal boys played the game with their style of passing. Really the gunners missed Adebayor and van persie. If they both were present in the match then the game would be completely different. Manchester United had many chances to shot goals but they missed it badly.

Arsenal had bad time at Britannia Stadium

Arsenal had a shocking result from the Stroke City match. The result of the match ended in 2-1. The arsenal fans were very much upset after this match. This result got arsenal into 4th place at the Barclays Premier League points table. Stroke city had a bit of luck and they played a descent game of football. Stroke city scored two goals by throw ins. The two goals are the unexpected ones. They both were long throws. Robin van persie the Holland striker of Arsenal was sent off because of his foul action. He went to the Stroke city goal keeper and clashed with him purposely. A red card was shown by the referee to van persie. He misses the next rivalry match of Arsenal against Manchester United Football Club. Arsenal scored a late goal in the injury time. Adebayor got injured while playing. He was very much expected to deliver the best game for Arsenal till the last minute. Theo Walcott the winger got into some tackle and that ended with an injury. He went out of the field due to the severe injury. In the 93rd minute of the game Arsenal scored its first goal of the match. The match Arsenal vs Manchester United match is expected a lot.

Ronaldinho maintaining the momentum at AC Milan

The Brazil midfielder Ronaldinho is playing for AC Milan at present. In the starting of the season his performance was not up to a notable level. But day by day he improved his game play in every match. He was not even selected to start the match in the early season. Last year he played at FC Barcelona. He was out of form the previous year. Many football critics commented that Ronaldinho will not perform at AC Milan. But the Milan’s manager had faith in R10. He started scoring goals for Milan in Serie A competition. In yesterday’s match he scored a winning goal for Milan in the injury time. Milan won the game by 1 – 0. The time of the goal was 93 minutes. He is having a good relationship between his teammates. Juventus smashed Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu

The Champions league group stage matches are going on these days. Yesterday the Spanish giants Real Madrid and the Italian club Juventus met at Santiago Bernabeu. The match had a lot of expectation because of the previous match played between them. The last match between these two teams was held at Juventus. That was also a champions league group stage match. From the previous matches in the early season, Real Madrid was expected to win the match. But we got shocking news from the match results. Juventus won the match at their home ground. The score was 2 - 1. Del Piero and Amouri scored for Juventus. Rudd van Nistelrooy of Real Madrid scored for his team. This week also the fans had huge expectations on Real Madrid. The reasons behind the expectations are the Real Madrid’s home ground. Alexander Del Piero changed all the dreams of Real Madrid Fans. They turned into nightmares because of his two extraordinary goals in yesterday’s match. The final score after 90 minutes was 0 – 2. The fans were very much disappointed. Juventus are in a full form with a good team chemistry. The Juve captain and the Italian striker Del Piero made it happen. From this match’s result Juventus enters the next round.

Arsene Wenger should consider about the making Fabregas as captain. The decision made by the manager and coach of Arsenal will be known soon. Many of the football fans are expecting this young player to become Gunners captain. Arsenal is having a poor performance from the previous three matches.
