Creating an Eco-friendly Kathmandu

The Nepal Tourism Board in coordination with Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC)'s Public Private Partnership Program is working on a joint project aimed at beautifying the city. The project involves converting six traffic islands into small gardens so as to add beauty and at the same time manage traffic. The flower gardens are being built by associations such as NATA, HAN, FNCCI, PATA, NATO and even individual properties and is being maintained by the Nepal Tourism Board. Traffic islands in Maitighar, Tripureswor, Bagmati Bridge (Thapathali side), Battisputali area to be converted as per the project.
