Day 01 Arrival at Kathmandu

On arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. O/N at hotel.

Day 02 S/Seeing - Kathmandu

Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu O/N at hotel.

Day 03 Kathmandu / Biratnagar – Darjeeling

Take a morning flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar. At Biratnagar Airport, our staff will Meet you with transport and drive to Darjeeling. The distance

from Biratnagar to Kakarivitta (Indo -Nepal border) is about 115 kilometers and the drive will take about 3 hours. At Kakarvitta you will have to fulfill all the custom and entry formalities .To cross the border it requires a special permit

for Sikkim and Darjeeling (restricted area). This permit (restricted area permit) can be easily obtained at an Indian Embassy in your country. Whenever you apply

for Indian Visa at the same time you can ask for special permit for Sikkim too. At the border it takes about 1/2 hours to clear custom and immigration formalities. From Kakarvitta to Darjeeling it takes about 4 hours and you will be passing through tea gardens. You will reach Darjeeling late evening .Our staff will collect your Passports and flight tickets for registrations and reconfirmation.

Day 04 S/Seeing - Darjeeling

After breakfast you will be taken on a morning-guided tour of Darjeeling for interesting places until midday. Return to hotel for lunch. After lunch your guide will take you to other tourist spots.

Day 05 Darjeeling - Gangtok

Hotel will give you wake up call at 3 a.m. for you will be going to Tiger Hill, the world famous spot from where one can see the sunrise over "Kanchendzonga "and

the great eastern Himalaya. Return to hotel for breakfast after which you will be driven to the Teesta Bridge where entry formalities will be done. Normally from Teesta to Gangtok it takes 3 hours so you will arrive for a late lunch at the hotel.

Day 06 S/Seeing - Gangtok

The morning-guided tour will begin after breakfast. Your sight seeing will include the Rumtek Monastry . It is about 1-hour drive from Gangtok. Afternoon tour will be of Gangtok town including the Research Institute of Tibetology

Day 07 Gangtok – Tashiding (Camp)

After breakfast drive to Tashiding Monastry (7 hours) through beautiful countryside. This Monastery was built in 1717 and lies nestled on the top of a hill that looms up between the Rangit and the Rathong rivers. Your camp will be at Tashiding.

Day 08 Tashiding – Yoksom

A visit to the monastery at Tashiding is a must. The gompa monastery is relatively new and it replaces the original one built 360 years ago. Your camp for the day will be at Yoksom.

From Yoksom the trek begins. The trail turns north through forest of oak, walnut and cedar. After an hour's walk the climb begins. After 4 hours walk through tall trees you will be at Bakhim. Further 1-hour walk you will be at Tshoka, a small village where the night's camp will be set up at an altitude of 3,030 meters.

Day 10 Trek - Dzongri

Trek to Dzongri from Tshoka takes about 8 hours along the Yak grazing area. we inspiring view of the Himalayas makes one feel over whelmed with the towering presence of the giants - Juponu (5,936 meters) in the east, the Pandim (6,691 meter) on the left. Your lunch stop will be at Phedang meadow. After lunch the trail continues climbing steeply to Deorali and then descends slightly to Dzongri.

Day 11 At Dzongri

This day we take a rest in Dzongri. Rise early and climb Dzongri peak for an unforgettable sunrise over the Kanchendzonga range. Return to camp for breakfast after which you can explore Lakshmi Pokhari an alpine lake and return to camp

Day 12 Trek - Bikbari

At Dzongri the bridle path ends. There are two footpaths, one leading to the Base camp and the other to the Goechela pass. Follow the path leading to the Kanchendzonga Base camp and camp at Bikbari.

Day 13 Excursion - Kanchenjunga (Base Camp)

After an early breakfast you take along your packed lunch and proceed to the Base Camp, where the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute of Darjeeling conducts a climbing training to various higher view points. Return to Bikbari for the night camp.

Day 14 Trek - Thangsing

This day you return to Dzongri. From here the path goes over the east shoulder of Dzongri peak and crosses rambling terrain descending into the rhododendron forest ending at the edge of a broad rocky river bed. After crossing the wooden bridge you walk across a beautiful fir forest and follow the creek to Thangsing at the bottom of a long glacial valley. Overnight camp will be set up here.

Day 15 Trek - Samity

After breakfast proceed to Samity. After lunch 3 more hours of walk will take you to the campsite besides the Lake Samity .The walk is through gigantic glacier, crossing high grasslands and passing through a valley.

Day 16 Excursion - Goechela Pass

Excursion to the Goechela pass at 16,200 feet from Samity is only 4 hours away. The trail goes parallel to the Samity Lake source. Goechela itself is a massive icefall, and is a good viewpoint. Return to Samity for the night.

Day 17 Return Trek - Thangsing

From Samity you retrace your steps back to Thangsing.

Day 18 Trek - Tshoka

Return to Tshoka via Phedang .The trail is through Rhododendron forest. Camp for the night at Tshoka.

Day 19 Trek - Yoksom – Drive - Pemayangste

This day you can make it to Yoksom in 5 hours where you can have your lunch. After lunch drive to Pemayangste and stay at the Mount Pandim Hotel.

Day 20 Pemayangste – Kalimpong

After breakfast visit the monastery at Pemayangtse and then drive to Kalimpong for about 5 hours. Check in at Hotel Silver Oak. After lunch you visit the Tibetan monastery.

Day 21 Kalimpong – Onward Journey

After an early breakfast drive down to Siliguri to catch your flight from Bagdogra airport to Calcutta / Delhi.
