Altitude & Health:
Travelling in Tibet is an adventure involving high altitude and could be strenuous. While
most visitors experience only minor effects from the altitude, we advise those with heart,
lung or blood disease to contact their physician for advice. Mild headache, fever, loss of
appetite or stomach disorder can take place in the process of acclimatization.
Our advice for better acclimatization: drink a minimum four litters
of water a day, do not exhaust yourself, breath-deep and take more rest than usual.
