    Introduction
Myanmar (formerly Burma) has traditionally been associated as a cultural destination with a rich historical heritage. However, this Southeast Asian nation is not all pagodas and temples as is the popular belief. Myanmar is also blessed with picturesque landscapes and natural resources, which encompass the entire country. You can explore and experience nature in its purest state- snow -capped mountains in the north, pine-clad hills, rivers and lakes of the Shane state and an entire coastline of unspoiled beaches and archipelagos stretching from the northern Bangladesh border to the southern reaches of Thailand.

Yangon, Bagan and Mandalay obviously present the treasures of Myanmar's historical past and Buddhist culture, which have made them, the biggest draw for tourists. However, there are a whole lot of other equally exotic and exciting palaces off the beaten track that will bring you even close to the natural and cultural richness of the country.
