| Introductory of Pashmina |
Welcome to Nepal, the world of Pashmina, Nepal is
better known as the country wherein lies the highest peak on the Earth. It is also known
as a Himalayan kingdom, rightly for its geography, 1/3 of which is covered by Himalayan
Ranges. And Pashmina is a luxury, fine cashmere gathered from the undercoat of the
Himalayan mountain goat that roams freely in the Himalayas.
For centuries,
the Royalties and the wealthiest women in Nepal and other neighboring countries have
relied on the fine Pashmina products to adorn their shoulders. These Pashmina have been
handed down from generation to generation as a treasure to be handled with care and
flaunted at ease. Stylish women all over the world have used Pashmina as the icing on the
cake of their designer wears.
Himalayan
Mountain goat, Carpa Hircus, sheds its winter coat every spring. One goat sheds
approximately 3-8 ounces of the fiber. Since it can be collected only once a year and that
too in such small amounts, Pashmina is not only a luxury item it is equally rare.
We the High
Himalaya Garment is manufacturing and doing export business firm in Nepal. This is
a business firm registered under the Private Firm Registration Act, 1957. We have our own
manufacturing unit in Kathmandu Valley. We are in this industry and business since seven

The History of Pashmina |
There is no recorded history as to who started using Pashmina, but
Nepalese women have traditionally worn Pashmina shawls. Our ancestor have described
Pashmina as sensual sublimity. It is they who perfected the skill to retrieve Pashamina up
to 95% purity and the skill as such got passed from generation to generation as a heritage
of Nepalese craft. |

| Taking Care Of Pashmina |
| Contrary to popular belief, cashmere is easy to
clean. Wash it in warm water with a good, natural shampoo. (We use an Aveda shampoo in our
factory.) During the dyeing process, all items are kept in water between 30 to 60 minutes
at a temperature just below boiling, and are washed twice more, so do not fear washing
cashmere in water. Dry cleaning will cause no harm. |
