| Helambu lies twords the northeast of the capital (Kathmandu). It is a small valley
formed by the ridges that run along Melamchi River. Inhabited by the Buddist Sherpas, this
picturesque area resplendent with mani walls, prayer flags, chortens and gompa
(monastery), including one at the main village at Tarkegyang. |
