| Langtang, the nearest national park from Kathmandu is situated outside the Tibetan
plateau. Trails along side the Trisuli River's deep gorge lead unto the alpine valley of
Langtang (11483ft/3500m). The lonely Kyangjin Gompa lies within the national park, amidst
a pine and rhododendron forest. The valley offers magnificent views of many mountain
peaks. |
