| This trek will take you to Namche Bazar 3446m, a trading centre of Khumbu. A day
after Namche Bazar, you come to Thyangboche monastery 3867m, which has one of the most
beautiful settings in the entire Himalayas. Further on along the side of the Khumbu
glacier one arrives at Everest Base camp 5357m. The dramatic vista of the icefall hanging
over the west cross of Everest is a splendid sight not to miss. |
