Ugen, the founder of Wind Horse has guided tours and treks all over Bhutan. He lived in India & Nepal for five years leading tours and adventures throughout these countries. He has also led several trips through Central Asia, China and Pakistan. He has seen a lot of the world and still travels extensively, spending off-seasons in the French Alps, Colorado Rockies, Glacier National Park or in the cities of America & Europe promoting travels to Asia. It is this experience and knowledge in travel filed that he tries to incorporate in Wind Horse. His passion and knowledge for the high mountains of the Himalayas & the Buddhist way of life which surrounds these mountains are bounty, which leaves the travelers feeling secure, safe and exceptionally fun.

Kinley Namgay
General Manager

Kinley has over 10 years of experience in tourism. His experience, patience and attention to detail makes him ideally suited for co-ordinating trips in Bhutan. As our "inside" man, Kinley professionally negotiates the complicated maze of government paperwork, permits and visas, as well as the logistics of all our tours, treks & expeditions to ensure our adventures run smoothly. His cultural knowledge combined with a gentle demeanor makes him one of the best-loved cultural guides.

A Science Graduate from North Point College, Darjeeling, Anand leads our Botanical, Bird Watching and other nature study trips. He also overseas Darjeeling and Sikkim programs. He is our Finance guy and a promising leader.

Mindu is one of the first Kayak, Rafting Captain, and certified Instructors. He received the training in advanced level mountaineering both in Bhutan and Austria. He is also a certified trekking Instructor for Bhutanese Guide. Now and then he finds time to play soccer in the national team! Behind his calm, smiling demeanor lies a rock solid, born leader. The most common feedback we get on Mindu is, "I’d trust him with my life. I did!" He is our chief Manager for co-ordinating and development of adventure trips.

Suresh as he calls himself studied in Bhutan and Sikkim. He did basic mountaineering course and studied Spanish in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He completed advanced level of mountaineering from the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling. He is passionate, a travel enthusiast and leads both cultural and trekking tours. He speaks superb English, has a wealth of knowledge about the flora, fauna, and the cultures of Bhutan. He has explored the area for nearly 10 years, and shares his knowledge of the region with insight and humor.

Anan has over 7 years experience in tourism and is one of the best loved German speaking guides in Bhutan. He has travelled the whole of Europe, speaks fine German besides English and is a travel enthusiast. He leads both cultural and trekking tours and overseas the German section.

Tashi studied in Bhutan and has over 4 years of experience in tourism. Trained in tour guiding and certified by the Department of Tourism, he leads our cultural tours and treks and also assist in office administration.
