Remote & Wild Solu Region
Mardi Himal Trek
The Solu region lies just below the Everest region. The Solu is dwarfed by the Everest region as the largest number of trekkers go to the well known area. However if you like to venture where there are few tourists, it is possible to explore the wilderness and the remote Solu which is just as exciting as other well known trekking region. The Peekey hill (4200m) is the one of the best trekking view top from where one can see a panorama of mountains 400 miles long from the Kanchanjungha on the east border of Nepal/India to Annapurna on the west, with the Everest range on center.

Solu is occupied by the ever friendly Sherpas, the Tamangs, and the Magars, all ethnic tribes of Nepal, and is the homeland of most of the trekking and mountaineering professionalities. As Solu is under a shadow due to a lack of awareness, Tamang Expeditions has researched the hidden treasures of the area such as monasteries, flora and fauna. We plan to work with the locals to promote tourism in the area and down the road to form a conservation trust to preserve the ecology.
