Rara, the largest lake in Nepal, is situated up the high elevation of 3062m northwest of

the kingdom. Trekker’s seldom trek this area often. But it offers a unique environment.

Have its own with its beautiful and untouched nature. It also offers a chance to enjoy the scenic views and to go to some historically important places on the way.

UPPER DOLPA CAMPING TREK:

(Twenty-nine nights, Thirty days Camping Package Tours.)

This is one of the wildest & most remote Trekking routes in Nepal & on which only the truly adventurous should consider. From Kathmandu you fly to Juphal via Nepalgunj, the mid western part of Nepal, then commence trekking up to the Phoksundo Valley through tiny villages & summer yak grazing lands. On the way you catch the beautiful sight Kagmara Peak and inside ahead trek through deep dark forest and white river canyons and you soon reach the village of Ankhe, the entry point of the Shey Phoksondu National Park. High ridges and deep gorges draw you on until you see the great Phoksundo lake & towering above the Western shores of Kanjiroba Peak, one of the most dramatically beautiful sights in the Himalayas & you can visit Phoksundo Gompa, the century old monastery dedicated to the ancient shaman Bon Po religion. The ancient Tibetan Buddhism is still alive in these remote parts and then you cross over 5000m several highs passes & finally, you will reach Gandaki valley, then fly back from Jomsom Kathmandu via Pokhara.
