This
is a trek that takes you to Everest Base Camp from where many
trekkers and expedition members have looked on Everest with hope for
the success of their expedition. It is a place which bears memories
of many celebrations as well as defeats and tragedies.
The
trek starts with a flight to Lukla and then a walk up the Dudh Koshi
to Namche. A day's trek to the famous Buddhist monastery at
Tengboche where you spend an extra day to acclimatize and it also
gives you an opportunity to relax and enjoy the view of the world's
highest peaks.
Each
day brings you closer to the mountains and the climb to the ultimate
viewpoint at Kalapathar is the highlight with superb views of
Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse (world's fourth highest mountain), Pumori
and a panoply of other mountains.
This
memorable trek ends at Lukla, and an early morning flight brings you
back to Kathmandu.
