Nagarkot to
Shivapuri is a beautiful family trek for those with limited time.
The trek takes you through small interesting villages and terraced
fields, and forests of pine trees and Rhododendrons and always with
a great view of the mighty himalayan ranges of Nepal like
Gaurishankhar, Dorji Lakpa, Langtang, and many others. The highest
point during the trek is at Shivapure at 8960 feet and from here you
get a sweeping view of Kathmandu valley and the Trisuli Valley.
Occasional snow fall has been recorded at Shivapuri ridge
during winter.
