Jungle Safari
Chitwan National Park
This is worlds
one of the most marvelous National Park, the oldest National Park in Nepal situated in the
sub-tropical inner Terai lowlands of South-Central Nepal. The park was designated as a
World Heritage Site in 1984. The park consists of more than 43 species of mammals
including the elusive tiger, 450 species of birds and 45 species of amphibians.
Situated in the least
disturbed part of the jungle Chitwan Jungle Lodge, Safari Adventure Lodge and Royal Park
Hotel have been established committing to give you the full and memorable jungle
experience.
The activities in the
lodges / hotels include elephant ride, canoe ride, bird watching, nature walk, slide shows
and cultural dances.
Koshi Tappu
Wildlife Reserve
It lies on the flood
plains of the Sapta-Koshi in Saptari and Sunsari Districts of Eastern Nepal. Rapid and
complete inundation of the reserve to depths ranging from 10 to 300 cm occurs during the
monsoon. The reserve offers important habitat for a variety of wildlife. The last
surviving population (about 100 individuals) of wild buffalo or arna are found here
including other mammals. A total of 280 different species or birds have been recorded.
Amidst the jungle
environment Aqua Birds Unlimited Camp and Koshi Tappu Wildlife Camp have come into
existence.
The activities includes
morning jungle treks by the river lagoons and wetlands, canoe ride, slide shows, bird
watching, cultural dances and visit unique village settlements.
Bardiya National Park
This National Park is
situated in the mid-Far Western Terai, east of the Karnali River. The park is the largest
and most undisturbed wilderness area in the Terai. The park provides excellent habitat for
endangered animals and birds. More than 30 different mammals, over 200 species of birds,
and many snakes, lizards and fish have been recorded in the park.
Dolphin Manor, a quality
wildlife within here is designed to offer high class facilities. The resort has tented
camp facilities and also houses a river stone lodge. The activities in the park includes
elephant ride, dug out canoe, four wheel jeep drive and serene walks to the local
villages.
